BE PATIENT WITH THE CATHOLIC CHURCH; Bishop Matthew Urges Chiefs.

Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, the Catholic Bishop of Sunyani and President of Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference(GCBC) the has urged the traditional authority of Mantukwa to exercise patience and restraint when the Catholic Church aquires a potion of land for development. The Catholic Church employs right and systematic strategies anytime she secures land for future development. Chiefs must therefore give the Church ample time to strategize and plan the usage of land for the benefit of the local communities, he said.

He added that, land encroachments ought to be eschewed.

The statement was made on wednesday,April 23, 2025, during the inauguration and blessing of the STIFTUNG BLOCK, a new classroom block at Incarnate Word preparatory school, a bacic school managed by the Sisters of the Incarnate Word (SVI) in the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani.

The Stiftung block was funded by the PETER KRämer FOUNDATIONS based in Germany.
